About Us How to Search 
Simply enter a search in the above search field. You can search for either keywords or a passage, or you can search for multiple passages at one time by using a semicolon(;).We support boolean searches. This means you can specify phrases ie. "in the beginning", or "God said". You can also make sure a word is contained in your search by adding a (+) plus sign in front of the word, or you can make sure a word is excluded by adding a (-) minus sign in front of it. If your search contains boolean search paramaters (",+,-) the results will be sorted bibically, even if sort by relevance is specified. Here are some examples that might be useful.
Search Options Bible Version : changes the version of the bible your search is perfomed on. Word Search Restrictions : (Applies to word searches only, and is ignored for passage lookups) When searching for a word or phrase it will only return results that lay within the selected category. The definitions are below. Word Search Sorting : (Applies to word searches only, and is ignored for passage lookups) Relevence - When selected results will be sorted to what we think would be the best results first and the worst results last; this type of search will return thousands of results. Most likely the result you are looking for will be on one of the first pages. If your search has any boolean characters (",+,-) then this option will be ignored and your results will be sorted Bibically, however not all words are required. Biblically - When selected every word you search for must appear in the verse. The results are sorted in the order they appear in the bible. Passage Lookup Formatting : (Applies to passage lookups only, and is ignored for word searches) If the option "as paragraphs" is selected then there will be breaks between paragraphs and chapters. If the option "as lines" is selected there will be a break after every line.
